Bayelsa United technical adviser, Meremu Okara, believed that his players showed determination in the victory over Abia Warriors.
Chinedu Emmanuel’s brace gave Bayelsa United a 2-1 win against Abia Warriors at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa on Sunday.
Sunday Megwo grabbed the lone goal for Abia Warriors.
Okara commended his players for the hardwork exhibited in the encounter.
“The victory was achieved through hard work and determination,” Okara stated in a post-match interview.
“We have been in the danger zone on the league table but the win will push us to the top half on the log we are very determined to get it done.
“With the recent impressive performance in the league we are moving towards the right direction.”
Bayelsa United moved up to 10th position on the league table with 18 points following the win.
